Dakota turns 1!!

Dakota turned one yesterday. We had a party at our house and had so much fun. We ate dinner (chicken strips, mashed potatoes, spinach casserole, mac and cheese, jalapeno bread and strawberry poke cake), played pin the tail on the donkey, and went outside and had fun. Dakota's friend Zac came with them also. Happy Birthday Dakota!

Going to Fort Smith

Jenny and Dakota rode to Fort Smith with us on Wednesday. We did quite a bit of shopping and Elise had gymnastics. Jenny didn't have too much fun chasing after Dakota. Dakota enjoyed running aroung everywhere since he has learned to walk!

3rd Easter Egg Hunt

We ate Easter lunch with the Blanchards. They came to our house and we had a great meal. The kids had so much fun!! It was our first Easter at home so we decided to start a new tradition. The kids hunted eggs filled with coins, but whatever they found went to Annie Armstrong Easter offering for North American Missions. Because the kids are familiar with the offering (we talk about it lots in childrens church) they thoght that would be great. So Sunday night when we went to church, each kid had a ziploc bag ready to put in the offering plate. There was around 12 or 13 dollars. We had so much fun. (by the way dad, Warren grilled turkey....I made a strawberry pie....thought of you for sure!)

Easter morning Pictures

Warren left early for the sunrise service on Easter. Since I didn't know how to tie a tie, Easter pictures had to wait until after church. Warren had to tie Ethan's tie after Sunday School!

The boys just had to have a picture with their new shades the bunny had brought them. We also took a picture with the Blanchard girls. They looked all so good Easter morning!! (Elise and Bailey are the same age. McKenzie is one year younger than Ethan)

Easter Morning

Despite the cold, the Easter bunny was able to make it to our house with some goodies.

2nd Egg Hunt

The kids had so much fun at the egg hunt at church on Saturday. There were over 50 kids and lots of parents there for this fun! We had planned to have the egg hunt at the park, but due to the very cold weather we decided to have the egg hunt at the church. The kids hunted the eggs outside and then we ate, colored eggs, and decorated our own cupcakes inside. Some of the youth girls and I stuffed the eggs and we know there were at least 1000 eggs. Every kid got a basket full!!! (Tyler, Ethan and Elise are just right of the center of the pic. Ethan has his baseball basket lifted up, Tyler is behind him and Elise is 2 to the right of Ethan.)

1st Egg Hunt

The kids have enjoyed hunting so many eggs this week. On Friday Ethan had a first grade egg hunt at school. Elise and I went and really enjoyed all the fun. Elise enjoyed watching and following all the other "big" kids looking for eggs.

I love Spring!!

I get so excited as all the spring flowers, trees, and shrubs start blooming. My dogwood was so pretty this year. I'm so sad and I am wondering what will happen after last night (4-7-07)(hard freeze). Despite all my efforts...nothing looked too promising this morning!

Final Day of Spring Break!!

On the last day of spring break, we grabbed Warren from the church and took a family picnic

at the park. The weather was great and the kids had so much fun!

Ethan turns 7!!

Ethan celebrated his 7th birthday...a little late. He wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese with a few friends. Since our church was in revival, we couldn't until the 29th. The kids had so much fun. Ethan had so much fun with his uncle Kyle, Aunt Jenny, cousin Dakota, friends McKenzie and Bailey Blanchard. McKenzie is one of Ethan's best friends and Bailey is Elise's.
