We LOVE the Growing Kids Sale!!!!

We all (except Warren!) love going to a huge consignment sale in Ft. Smith. It was this week and we got all our summer clothes..dirt cheap! The sale had over 900 consignors. I've never seen so much kid stuff in one place!! The boys were excited because they got 11 Pokemon movies for 4.00! The sale started at 2:00. We got there at 12:30 to get in line. We were about 60th in line. I talked to a lady in line that was first, she got there at 9:30!!!

Spring Break is for Relaxing!

The kids are enjoying being on spring break this week. We have played, went to Ft.Smith, and played even more. On Monday, we went to the elementary school with Kristen and the Blanchard gals for a playtime. We took McDonald's for our picnic lunch! We played for 2 hours and had so much fun!!

Disciple Now Weekend and Revival

This past weekend (kickoff to spring break), our youth group had a disciple now weekend. There were 2 youth saved. There have been 3 kids saved in AWANA clubs this spring semester! We had a good revival at our church (Sun-Wed). God is working in such awesome ways in the youth and children! I'm so glad we get to be a part of it! (TYLER, ETHAN AND ELISE ARE WEARING THE DISCIPLE NOW THEMED SHIRTS)

Report Cards!

The boys got their report cards yesterday......All A's for both. They both really work hard. Tyler is really good at math and loves to read books. Ethan is good at math and absolutely loves science. He especially loves learning about the body. (by the way dad, Ethan says white milk, not chocolate is best for you!) Even more important, both of the boys made A plus in conduct. We are so proud of them!

Our Second Concert

Last night we went to Little Rock with the Tyler, Ethan, and Elise to a Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Louie Giglio concert. It was great! The kids really enjoyed it. We ate at Larry's Pizza first and that was really fun!

Spring Tulips

Tulips are my favorite flower, so I have been really excited about them this year. Almost 2 dozen pink tulips have bloomed this year in my flower beds. I couldn't resist taking a picture of Elise with them!

Bulldog Softball

We love going to the sporting events the youth are involved with at school. We have really enjoyed the softball games this year. We have some awesome girls playing and the coach and his wife and kids are some of our good friends. When Elise and the boys come home from the games, it looks as though they have been rolling with pigs in the dirt! (Elise and Brooke Thompson)

125 Years Old

Our church celebrated its 125th anniversary today. We had a good service and more food than anyone could possibly eat after church. Our church starts Revival services next Sunday. The boys and Elise enjoy Sunday School very much.
Elise 's class was doing hand-painting today.

Happy St.Patrick's Day!

We enjoyed waking up and pinching Warren. He was the only one with no green on!

Spring is Here!

We love spring time! We have been enjoying the evening walks, beautiful flowers, and the green appearing. We took Elise to a lady in our church's home for pictures last week. Elise tends to be stubborn at picture time, and this time was no different! The home we took pictures at was the lady who makes the beautiful stained glass pieces. We have a nativity set that we put on our mantle each year that she made.

Tyler, Ethan, and Elise's 1st concert

Tyler, Ethan. and Elise went to their first concert last Friday. There were three Christian groups performing. The groups were Aaron Shust, Audio Adrenaline, and Mercy Me. They had so much fun! The concert began winding down around 10:00pm. Tyler had crawled under my seat and fell asleep. Elise had fell asleep in Warren's lap. Ethan loved every moment of it!!!

Ancient Days Found!

While we were at the concert, Warren ran into a guy he has been looking for since 1998. He had played with him in a Christian band called Ancient Days. We could not believe our eyes, 10 years later finding him! Warren was so excited!

Shopping in Fayetteville

Last Friday our family and the teenagers from our church went to a concert in Rogers.(10 mins north of Fayetteville) Elise and I went up a little early and went shopping. We had so much fun! We went to Target, some consignment shops, ate at Fuddruckers, and shopped at the new Pinnacle Hills Promenade. Elise enjoyed the fountain to throw pennies in. (They were useless ones , dad!) We met one of our former youthgroup gals (Natalie- now a sophomore at University of Arkansas). Natalie shopped with us too. Elise loves Natalie so much!

Upward Basketball

We love Upward Basketball. This is our 2nd year to play. We play at the First Baptist Church in Mansfield's league. At practices they have devotionals and scripture to memorize. At the games, they pray first and at half time someone shares a testimony. They boys are real good ball players. Elise wasn't old enough to cheer this year, but she still managed to find some pom-poms! (bottom picture: ethan in the center, middle picture: Elise, top picture: tyler guarding another player)

Bowling!

We took 46 children from our church bowling back in February. The kids had so much fun! This was Tyler, Ethan, and Elise's 2nd time to go. Warren had a blast himself.

Our Special Friends

Jeremy and Laura Holland have been our friends for 16 years. (doesn't that make me feel old!) Laura was very special to me. She was very important in my growth as a Christian. She teaches fourth grade and Jeremy teaches high school math in the Mansfield School District. They now have two little boys. Gavin is two and Drew was born last September 28 (Warren's birthday). Our families love spending time together.

The Little Gymnast

Elise loves doing gymnastics. She does it at Fort Smith every Wednesday at 10:00 am. We use this day to do our Fort Smith shopping and then hurry home to pick up the boys from school. We have so much fun!

1st Grade

Ethan loves first grade. He is learning to read very well and is a math whiz just like Tyler. His teacher is Mrs. Toni Doozier. She attends the same church as us. That was neat because Ethan's teacher last year did too. This was taken at the Valentines class party. Elise loves the parties.

Pink and Blue

Elise loves Pink and Blue. They were mine when I was a little girl, but they weren't named that. Their names were Kristy and something else. She saves her money to buy very clearanced items for them. They go everywhere we go. I found a picture where I received them as a child, I was about 6 or 7. Twenty years later they are still loved!

Our Pet Rabbit

While we were outside 2 years ago, a little rabbit hopped our way. We didn't find an owner, so we kept him. The kids named him Hopper. They enjoy feeding him clover in the spring!

Books of the New Testament

The kids at
children's church recently
memorized the books
of the new testament. Tyler
and Ethan did awesome. I was
so surprised how quickly Elise memorized them and could recite all of them!!

Winter Fun!

We had so much fun in the snow back in February. The boys had some snow days off. Ethan loved throwing snowballs (even when I was taking pictures), Elise enjoyed making snow angels and once we got Tyler outside to enjoy the snow, he had fun!
